About this deal

She was appointed Governor of the University of the Arts in 2010 and a Prime Minister's Business Ambassador in 2011, holds both and MBE and a CBE and is a Trustee of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

From practical tips and quick fixes to profound observations about confidence and creativity, this inspiring handbook will show you how to live a little better - and why sometimes, the answer can be as simple as washing your hair. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

I’m not sure anyone can live life at this pace and altitude and not experience anxiety, self doubt and severe jet lag. From the chic front cover (sunny yellow, with contrasting blue lettering) to the flippant title it feels as though we’re firmly in beach book territory. Then suddenly the book seemed to swerve - from general observations and thinking, into a business book, which I wasn't expecting.

It isn't a terrible book - I'm sure it will appeal to and make a difference to some readers - it just wasn't particularly relevant to me. All of our products are delivered in our signature Anya Hindmarch eco-packaging and a signature will be required upon receipt of all deliveries.I also found Anya's tone strangely calming, as if the fact that she'd been there and done that and written about her experiences made it safer for me to consider going there. THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER 'I've been waiting for this book all my life and everyone needs to read it' Claudia Winkleman Anya Hindmarch is a mother of five, stepmother, entrepreneur and globally renowned businesswoman.

Even though Anya’s experience is far beyond mine I found myself on nearly every page either making notes or having this overwhelming sense I was walking in similar footsteps and finally someone who understood. There are so many wonderful lines in this book, it's incredibly accessible and easy to read too (she talks about her dyslexia as well! And it’s with this honest and open approach that she goes on to detail her battles with anxiety and her life spent building a business. Sharing a few snippets of what left an impression on me; on decluttering, being your authentic self, selecting who you surround yourself with, humility and a more refreshing one - how COVID changed life in a good way. Some of Anya's story could be pepped up with more actual real-life what she really went through narrative (a fair amount of the text is written in a remote 'remember to' or 'should do' manner, where, if she regaled me with the actual experiences I would be so much more interested). If you don't take care of yourself first then you won't be able to give your full potential to others including your children. She is sure to mention that she not only had excellent familial support through the whole process, but also the addition of a nanny and au pair, which is of course out of reach to your typical start-up businessperson! THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER'I've been waiting for this book all my life and everyone needs to read it' Claudia WinklemanAnya Hindmarch is a mother of five, stepmother, entrepreneur and globally renowned businesswoman. At Books2Door, we believe that reading is a fundamental skill that every child should have to help improve their vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills.

There’s no trauma, grief or suicide here, just Anya’s common sense advice on how to live a more fulfilling life. If, like me, you work for the NHS have one child and no millions then you may wonder how relevant this book is to you. She has since grown it into an award-winning global brand known for it’s craftsmanship, creativity and sense of humour, including the hugely successful ‘I’m Not a Plastic Bag’ campaign. Reading about her thoughts on work and parenthood were particularly helpful and honest as although some authors touch on it and say "be kind to yourself" and will be honest in their experience few give their insight into what worked for them.XD Anyway, so in here she kind of outlines how she has been able to function and manage her life - which includes shouldering the responsibilities not only at her work but also looking after her 5 children, husband and herself. If I am part of a 'transition generation' in which we women are trying to live up to our mothers' examples, despite now often working as hard as our fathers did; likewise men are often subconsciously following the patterns set by their fathers. She’s frank that being in business is sometimes tough and the only way round it is to get through it. After all, she thinks that children will be fine if they’ve honest, consistent, caring, understanding, listening and supportive parents.
