About this deal

Tidak pasti sama ada ia editing atau tidak, tetapi jika benar beliau memakai 6B hingga ke 8B, saya memang kagum. I have been working through his exercises in this book and there is so much joy and fun in his work, unlike the tortured self-expression of some modern art instruction books today.

This book covers how to draw with volumes , keeping proportion, technical perspective and shadow and light. Written in the 1930s, there is a wholesomeness to this book that reminds artist that creation is fun. May contain markings such as bookplates, stamps, limited notes and highlighting, or a few light stains.Make no mistake, the drawing principles exposed here are extremely hard, and 70% of the illustrators of today do not draw this good. Fun With A Pencil How Everybody Can Easily Learn to Draw, Vintage copy of this classic work on pencil drawing by the foremost illustrator of his time. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. I could barely draw a stick figure when I downloaded Fun with a Pencil, but Loomis' techniques of starting with a simple circle and building off it really set off something in me and I was able to draw crude -- but fun -- illustrations on the first day. There are so many lines in these drawings that any beginner would have no idea what they are looking at.

All the principles are very HARD things to do, and mastering these concepts will require much* further practice after copying everything from the book. The only downside to this book (and most of Loomis's books) is his personal style is extremely specific and a tad outdated and it can make modernizing some of his figure and facial drawings difficult. While I mostly just scanned/gleaned through this, I do think this has a lot of decent material concerning some fundamentals of art while encouraging creativity, which is really good for beginners at any age from heads, posing, and perspective. from the librarian with glasses on the nose to the African-American man with lips the size of Australia. If there was a reprint of this with annotations and a disclaimer of some sort, then it probably wouldn't have such a low rating from me. Agak menarik pada panduan melukis bayang-bayang kerana tiada ilustrator yang menyediakan panduan ini.

Classic instruction in the art of pencil drawing by renowned American illustrator Andrew Loomis and a book also famous for its memorable dust jacket which is highly regarded among the exemplary tradition of American pre-war dj art.

My main criticism is that this book is labelled as a book for beginners, however the content gets increasingly more difficult towards the end of the book when Loomis dives into complicated perspective and shadow construction drawings with little explanation to aid in understanding them. The reverse side has some tape reinforcement along the top and bottom and the folds as well as several careful paper repairs to the spine tips. This one is fun, but loaded with practical information on how to upgrade your feeble attempts to draw what want to illustrate your ideas. Because as a youngster you probably scribbled on Mother's woodwork and wallpaper, in your school books, and on the back fence.

All in all, a great tool for the artist that wants to move from the low intermediate to high intermediate. Those are fine to look at, but the physical book is far,far batter for reference and to compare and consider approaches to drawing.

The section on how to draw cast shadows according to specific angles was difficult for me to understand. Also his technique is extremely realistic so if you are looking to do something more like animation then this might not be the best instructional book for you to start with.
