About this deal

New 10-channel MicroPiezo ® AMC printhead— consistently delivers prints with outstanding speed, consistency and accuracy Easy to use— features 4.3" customizable touchscreen, wireless connectivity and interior LED light for fast, convenient operation The printer is small enough to easily sit on your desk, and looks good doing so. The paper tray is relatively small however, so is not suited to high volume printing. Photo print quality is good, but nowhere near the pricier printers that are dedicated to photo printing.

Each premium paper type and its properties—such as whether it has a glossy or matte finish, its absorption rate, drying speed, and other appearance variables—are defined in the paper's ICC (International Color Consortium) profile. I’m of the opinion that as long as you have enough real detail in an image for the size then the actual PPI setting sent to the printer makes no significant difference. You'll get a better per-ml value by paying the higher up-front cost for a larger 17-by-22-inch model, such as Canon's Pro-1000 or Epson's SureColor P900. Inks for those machines cost 70 cents and 83 cents per ml, respectively. (And, of course, you can print significantly larger photos and artwork.) The auto expand works best if the image is the correct aspect ratio. Far more predictable I find, to print from PS. A clear panel over the print head allows observation of each print in progress, along with the LCD presenting the image being printed – both welcome features. My take away point would be to ignore marketing features and specs and don’t assume that just because you set all quality sliders to maximum, your prints will look ‘better’. The scanner is fairly standard for printers in this price range, with no automatic document feeder or duplex mode, and the printer’s display screen is also pretty small, but remains functional and easy to use. It’s pretty similar to the HP Envy 6055 in this respect. The example above is some A3+ poster board – you do not want this hitting the wall as it comes out. Excuse me, but most of this is totally wrong! The “much lower price” you´re speaking about is just 200€ at the moment (25.08.2021) and therefore you get A2 printing and not just A3 printing!!

Though the imagePrograf Pro-300 doesn't support paper rolls, you can still print banners up to 39 inches long. Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 SP1, Mac OS X v10.11.6 - macOS v10.15, 14 iOS, Android, Windows 10 Mobile The Pro-1000 is the largest printer reviewed here, capable of producing prints 17 inches wide, making it fantastic for making prints for walls or for any other large format use. A 4.3″ touchscreen makes general use of the printer easier. This is a larger and higher quality screen than the P600 and feels far better designed from a usability and functionality point of view.In the P700 the violet/blue ink gives a bit of a boost in this gamut comparison between profiles for a fine art paper on the P600 and P700.

For any paper loaded, you can set paper details on the front display. You can choose to allow printing with mismatched paper/size settings, but I find it much easier to get in the habit of always setting the correct paper details. One of the many upgrades that Epson performed on the P700 is to add an all-new, high-definition 4.3-inch color touch screen. It's highly detailed and color-calibrated, and it lets you perform functions that on previous models usually required the use of PC software such as Adobe Photoshop or Epson's own Photo+ and Epson Print Layout apps. This control panel is far superior to what you'll find on other professional-grade photo printers. During my tests (conducted over Ethernet from our standard Intel Core i5 testbed PC running Windows Pro, Adobe Photoshop CC, and Canon's Professional Layout & Print software), I found these numbers were pretty accurate. The P700 a whole new printer and noticeably smaller than the old P600. If you wanted, you can think of it as a smaller version of the 17″ P900. This isn’t so far from the truth, given that Epson ICC profiles work for both printers.Eco Features: ENERGY STAR® qualified, RoHS compliant, Recyclable Product, Epson America, Inc. is a SmartWay Transport Partner USB 3.0, Ethernet interface (100 Base-TX / 10 Base-T), Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Wireless LAN b/g/n (2.4GHz), Wireless LAN a/n (5GHz), Wi-Fi Direct Media Handling A soft art paper needed feeding from the front slot when I noticed some leading edge marks from the paper feed roller when used with the top slot. Top paper feed The display is the best quality I’ve yet seen on a printer. The interface is clear and makes good use of colour. It makes the interface and physical buttons of the P600 look dated. The software does quite a few other things as well and is something I’d definitely recommend installing. Conclusions
